Oil City High Football - 1937

After nine years as a teacher and coach, William F. Bozeman was elevated to principal when Roy Evans left to become vice-principal at larger Byrd High in Shreveport. Joining the faculty that year was Earl Davis Nolan, originally of Oak Ridge, and a former three sport letterman at Centenary College.

Unfortunately no wins were found for the Oilers that year. However the score of the Benton game is not known, and there may have been as many as three more games on the schedule (to make a typical season of nine) so all may not have been lost.

A preview of the Fair Park-Oil City game provided some details about the Oiler team.
